The Relationship Studio

3 options for couples ready to do the real work.

Here’s the deal:

The Relationship Studio is an intensive couples program for partners ready to do focused, meaningful work and build something more intentional together. This model moves beyond traditional therapy, offering extended session times, ongoing guidance between meetings, and support that helps sustain real progress.

It’s a meaningful investment in your relationship, designed for couples who want direct, honest guidance in a structured and supportive environment. The program is selective, with a screening process to ensure it’s the right fit and worth the commitment. If you’re looking for a deeper, more intentional way to rebuild, strengthen, or transform your relationship, this offers a clear path forward.

As part of the program, I include the Prepare/Enrich assessment at no additional cost. This is one of the most widely used relationship assessment tools and is designed for couples at all stages, from dating to long-term partnership, with or without children, and across a wide range of backgrounds and belief systems. It provides a clear, immediate snapshot of your relationship, highlighting both strengths and areas for growth (Learn more about Prepare/Enrich here).

We use this as a starting point, helping us quickly identify patterns, align on priorities, and move forward with intention from the very beginning.

Cost of the full program (with more options below):

  • Six 2-hour therapy sessions at $600 each ($3,600 total)

  • Flexible payment: pay in full or session-by-session

  • Optional ongoing support group: $150/month (90 minutes, monthly)

Explore the roadmap below to see how the program unfolds—from screening, to the six-session arc, to the continuing support group.

Additional Options for Support:

  • The Mini Relationship Studio ($300/session)

    • 60-minute sessions while still incorporating many of the same elements of the core program.

    • Ideal for couples who still want more than traditional therapy, without the full commitment of the complete relationship studio path.

  • Foundations ($200/session)

    • 50-minute sessions for partners looking for a more traditional format focused on the basics. This option offers a consistent space to work through challenges and build insight over time, without the extended structure or between-session support of the Relationship Studio.

The Roadmap:

Free Consultation:

Before beginning the program, you’ll meet with Nick for a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your goals, review the structure of the six-session model, and determine whether this level of work is the right fit for your relationship. This meeting gives both partners a chance to ask questions and get a feel for the process before committing.

Session 1:

Building the Map

Drawing on the detailed Prepare/Enrich assessment each partner completes beforehand, we identify the core issues in the relationship and clarify what each person wants—and needs—to change moving forward. Together, we outline a shared agreement for the work ahead, map the patterns that keep you stuck, and begin introducing new ways to approach conversations with more openness, accountability, and emotional steadiness.

Session 2:

The Emotional Blueprint

We take a deliberate step back to explore the deeper forces shaping each partner in the relationship. Each person gets a full hour to examine the experiences, attachment patterns, and formative moments that influence how they show up today. While one partner shares, the other is coached to slow down, listen with curiosity, and attune with genuine empathy. This session reveals the “why” beneath each person’s behaviors, creating the compassion and context needed for the more challenging work ahead.

Session 3:

The Bridge

In this session, we get into the true day-to-day friction points of the relationship. Over two hours—with space to breathe and reset—we work directly through the areas where you feel most stuck. Nick provides real-time coaching on essential communication skills designed to last well beyond the program. The goal isn’t to “solve” everything in one sitting, but to create a more productive, grounded way of talking about the issues that have been blocking your growth. This is where couples often experience their first real sense of movement—finding points of compromise, shared understanding, and a clearer path forward.

Session 4:

The Scales of Themis

This is intentionally one of the more challenging sessions in the program, with a strong focus on accountability. Each partner is given a full hour to look inward and be thoughtfully challenged around the patterns they are responsible for changing—especially the ways their behavior influences their partner and often leads to less of what they want in the relationship. This is not about blame, character attacks, or tearing one another down, but about recognizing how personal change can shift the dynamic between you. The session concludes with time to decompress and re-ground, ensuring both partners leave feeling supported, clear, and oriented toward growth.

Session #5:

The Repair Studio

By this point in the process, the important things have been named. The background work has been done, communication skills have been introduced, and accountability has been clearly addressed—often leaving couples feeling a bit worn down, but also more honest and open than before. This session is where real change begins to take shape. With both partners having been heard and seen, the focus shifts to practicing repair in a new way. You’ll work through moments of disagreement with guidance and support, learning how to stay connected, explore the gray, and respond to one another with compassion—even when you don’t fully agree. Sometimes repair means finding compromise; other times it means learning how to disagree respectfully while staying emotionally connected.

Support Group:

The Relationship Nest

The Relationship Nest is an optional monthly support group for couples who have completed The Relationship Studio program. The group meets once per month for 90 minutes and is facilitated by Nick in a small, supportive online setting of three to five couples. This space is designed to offer something couples therapy rarely provides—a sense of shared experience, mutual support, and continued growth beyond the structured sessions. All couples who complete the program receive one complimentary month to try the Relationship Nest, with the option to continue on a month-to-month basis.

Session #6:

The Road Ahead

At this point, the work has come together and the focus shifts to strengthening what has already been rebuilt. This session looks forward—taking a solution-focused approach to imagining how sustained change will shape your lives together. We identify what to keep practicing, what to watch for, and how to navigate future challenges, while acknowledging that growth continues beyond therapy. The session closes by honoring the work you’ve done and the breakthroughs you’ve made.
